IKEA issues urgent recall of ceiling lamp over fears glass shade could shatter or even explode IKEA are recalling their popular Calypso ceiling lamps purchased from 1.08.16 There have been cases of the glass lamps falling and shattering, causing injury No receipt is required to obtain a full refund or replacement from the store

IKEA has issued a recall of their Calypso ceiling lamps that were purchased after August 1, 2016. 

The recall comes following reports of the lamps falling to the ground and shattering. 

Customers with the lamp in their home are urged to remove the glass shade carefully and check for a manufacturing
