Three people appear in court charged with assault by beating after McDonald's employee 'was locked in a cupboard and other staff members were assaulted' Simon Robert Miller, 43, a man, aged 20, and a boy, 17,  admit assault on staff The two younger males put Zac MacDonnell in a cupboard and stole his glasses Miller then punched Nathan Whittemore and a youth punched Mr McDonnell The 17-year-old assaulted Mr Whittemore plus staff member  Oakleigh Weekes All three admitted assault by beating and Miller and the 20-year-old were fined  The 17-year-old boy is set to be sentenced at the Youth Court on March 12

Three people have appeared in court charged with assault after a McDonald's employee was 'locked in a cupboard' and other staff were  assaulted.

Simon Robert Miller, 43, a man, aged 20, and a boy, aged 17, had been 'drinking heavily' before they went into the McDonald's in Boston, Lincolnshire on August 7.

The two younger males put Zac MacDonnell in a cupboard, stole his glasses and goaded him about his sexuality, Boston Magistrates Court heard.

The two males attacked Nathan Whittemore after he had asked them to leave the premises.

The group left and then Miller came back in and punched Nathan Whittemore and  the youth punched Mr McDonnell.

The 17-year-old also assaulted Oakleigh Weekes.

During the incident one of the youths took  a metal strip from the door and used it to cause damage to a window and a wall,  before assaulting a staff member.
