Harvey Weinstein's sexual assault trial in New York City is being pushed back by almost a month, a court spokesman confirmed Monday.

Weinstein's trial had been slated for May 6, but that date was agreed on before he shook up his defense team with four new lawyers. Now it is set to begin June 3.

Weinstein lawyers Jose Baez and Ronald Sullivan started a trial in Brooklyn on Tuesday that's expected to take up to 10 weeks.

Manhattan Supreme Court representative Lucian Chalfen did not confirm whether that was the reason for the setback.

The fallen film mogul is still expected to appear at a pretrial hearing March 8.

In December, Weinstein lost a hard-fought bid to get the case thrown out.
