Democratic presidential contender Kamala Harris said 'yes,' she believes President Donald Trump is a racist.
She cited his comments on the 2017 white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, a report from last year that the president referred to some African nations as s***hole countries, and his descriptions of immigrants in her reasoning.
'Well look, when you talk about his statement on (Charlottesville), when you talk about him calling African countries s-hole countries, when you talk about him referring to immigrants as rapists and murderers, I don't think you can reach any other conclusion,' Harris said in an interview with The Root published Tuesday.
The California senator was asked if she agreed that the president is a racist.
'I do. Yes, Yes,' she replied.

President Trump has repeatedly defended himself from such allegations and has said he is not a racist
Her remarks are her most declarative to date on the president.
She was critical of Trump's response to the 2017 Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, when the president noted there 'very fine people' on both sides of the issue, but she had stopped short of branding him a racist.
'Racism is real in America, sexism, anti-Semitism, transphobia, homophobia - these things exist in America,' she said at CNN town hall meeting in Iowa shortly after she announced her presidential bid. 'We have seen when Charlottesville and a woman was killed that we've had a president who basically said, well, there were equal sides to this.'
Trump has used harshly critical language of immigrants on the campaign trail as he has advocated for his border wall.
