It was a few years into Michael Jackson's friendship with the Robson family when he decided he need to see more of Wade.
And so, with the singer's held and financial backing, the Robsons were uprooted from Australia to Los Angeles.
That move provoked to be the right one in the end for some reasons, the most notable being the exposure it gave Wade,
It was not the right move for his father Dennis though, who would eventually take his own life in 2002 after he found himself alone in Australia with his family thousands of miles away.

'He was doing things like going on walks in the middle of the night through LA. Getting on buses and we would have to find him,' said Wade of his father's attempt to make it in the City of Angeles.
'I think it terrified me but my reaction was just to get angry, and I just wanted him to go.'
Chantal, Wade's younger sister, said that her brother [pushed the man away at that time.
It was hardest of all though on Shane, the older brother who had remained in Australia but then decided he might want to make the move to Los Angeles.
He was the last member of the family to see Dennis alive.
'At that point I didn't know if I'm leaving for good,' said Shane.
'I'm taking six months off and going to hang out with the family.'
