Fears are growing for the safety of a couple who haven't been seen in two days, with their family saying the disappearance is 'out of character'.

Trevor Salvado, 60, and Jacinda Bohan, 58, were last seen by friends at a caravan park on Cherry Lane in Bright in Victoria's north-east on Friday.

The pair are believed to have left the caravan park to go on a hike up Mount Buffalo about 9.30am for about three hours.
