A woman believed to be in her 40s has been stabbed to death in Leigh, a north-west town in Wigan.
Detectives from Greater Manchester Police say that a murder inquiry has been launched after the victim was found dead in her home in Manchester Road, near the junction with Sanderson's Croft road.
According to the GMP's Twitter page, there is a 'heavy police presence' at the
