Flash flooding caused a powerful waterfall to surge over a cliff just metres away from houses in Italy.

Extremely heavy rainfall has ravaged the countryside around Brescia, near Verona, northern Italy, and created the new natural wonder on June 11.

Photographer Dario Bonzi, 28, filmed the frightening waterfall roaring 100 metres down the hillside next to a house in the village of Piancogno.
