Royal Ascot descended into carnage as a fierce 10-man brawl erupted between suited-and-booted racegoers - one of whom was punched to the ground.

In the shadow of the Queen who was watching the horses nearby, the normally civilized occasion saw boozed-up thugs hit, kick and even yank each other's hair. 

Screams rang out from elegantly dressed women and chairs were knocked over amid the violence which reportedly broke out outside the Windsor Enclosure - the economy zone of the Berkshire event.
