Border Force officers caught a group of 'up to 38' migrants off the coast of Dover, bringing the total to 708 this year.

The group, which included children, were caught travelling across the Channel to Kent shortly before midday today, a witness said.

One image shows some of the group wearing orange life jackets as they were taken to shore in a Border Force rigid-inflatable boat.

Other pictures show a vessel which appears to have been used by the migrants during their crossing being tugged, and a woman carrying a young child accompanied by officers in Dover.
