A cattle station worker told his mother 'I love you' before he was found dead in the Outback aged 25.

Trent Grose, from Broken Hill in rural New South Wales, was on Sunday found dead under a tree near Maxwelton in far north Queensland.

A frantic search for him was launched two weeks ago when his four-wheel-drive was found broken down near a remote property 17km from where he died.
