The former wife of Prince Louis of Luxembourg has revealed how she was forced to break the nose of a military officer when he tried to assault her as a teenage army recruit.

Former Princess Tessy of Luxembourg, 34, wed Louis in 2006, and has two children Prince Gabriel of Nassau, 13, and Prince Noah of Nassau, 11, with the Prince, who is the third son of the country's reigning monarch Grand Duke Henri.

Speaking in : The Game Changers' today, brave Tessy spoke about how it was 'no big deal' to defend herself after joining the military as a 17-year-old.

The former Princess, who lost her title after divorcing Louis last April, also spoke about her close relationship with ex husband Louis, 33, and described how meeting him in the army 'was love at first sight'.

Speaking in Paola Diana's podcast 'Unleashed: The Game Changers', episode three Princess of Hearts, today, brave Tessy spoke about how it was 'no big deal' to defend herself after joining the military as a 17-year-old

Speaking on the show, she revealed: 'There was a military officer who tried to sexually assault me, so I needed to defend myself. 

'I gave him a clap around his nose and it was very painful for him. For me it was not a big deal as I knew what to do because I had the education, but that's why I speak up about it now as sexual violence and conflict is often a weapon of war.'

She continued: 'I want to give confidence to all the other women who have experienced that to speak up and defend themselves, because we still have a long way to go.

'It's a shameful thing when you've been humiliated so it should be talked about more'.

And recalling her love story with Prince Louis, Tessy, who came from a normal family and lived on a farm, said: 'I was in the military and just came back from Kosovo, where I met my ex husband when I was working in the medical unit.

'I met him when I was checking his eyes, and I was a bit cheeky and joked that I would only let him pass if he met me for tea, and he was laughing. 

'We had this incredible chemistry from the second we met - I was drawn to him and he was drawn to me, it was beautiful.

'Even though we got divorced it was meant to be that we were together and had these two
