Carrie Symonds has been pictured in public for the first time in more than two months.
Boris Johnson's partner was spotted arriving at the more-discreet back entrance to No 10 Downing Street in central London yesterday.
It is the first time she has been seen since she was photographed triumphantly entering No 10 alongside the Prime Minister after his election win on December 13.
Miss Symonds is thought to have heard about Sajid Javid's shock resignation on her way home to London from a mini-break with friends yesterday.
The 31-year-old was 'disappointed' by the news, having grown fond of him during his time as Communities Secretary when she worked as his aide.
She has been keeping an increasingly low profile since the election victory, spending more time away from Downing Street and opting instead for the PM's remote Buckinghamshire home, Chequers, where he has been trying out the motorbike she bought him as a Christmas present.
Miss Symonds was seen leaving No10 again today, with the couple thought to be planning another short trip away during next week's parliamentary recess.
