Video footage caught the moment when Oscar-winning director and New York Knicks fan Spike Lee was denied entry into into Monday night's game at Madison Square Garden by security due to a misunderstanding over which entrance to use. 

Lee, who repeated 'No one told me!' when he was blocked from entering, was later spotted at his usual seat courtside watching the Knicks go on to defeat the Houston Rockets by a score of 125 to 123.

A spokesman for the Garden did not immediately respond when DailyMail.com reached out.
