Vice President Mike Pence shook hands with the classmates of a Florida school boy who may have been exposed to coronavirus through his mother's work at a hospital. 

Pence was in Sarasota for a campaign event last week when he met students from the Sarasota Military Academy. 

He had been and gone by the time it was announced that the boy - who was not one of the students he met - had been quarantined along with his mother as a precaution. 

Neither one of them has tested positive with the virus, but the there are fears over the mother's work at Sarasota Doctor's Hospital, where a person has tested positive for coronavirus.
