Instagram accounts roast partygoers for gathering in large groups and call out ...

A few Instagram accounts have been created to roast partygoers and maskless Americans who have been flouting guidance from the Centers for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC) to gather in large groups and walk around in public without facial coverings.

The @gaysovercovid account has shared numerous images, clips, memes and information calling out gay men for partying amid a pandemic.

One clip taken from TikTok and titled 'Gays at their NYE circuit parties' showed a scenario of gay men partying during the New Year holiday weekend.

The group behind the Instagram account wrote in the caption: 'The most relatable @tiktok we’ve seen. January is going to be such a bad month for case numbers, hospitalizations, and coronavirus related deaths.

'For those of you who stayed home, thank you. For those of you who traveled, please quarantine and get tested. It’s never too late to have empathy for others.'
