A German minister has slammed UEFA's decision to allow more than 40,000 fans into Wembley Stadium to watch England play Germany at Euro 2020.
Interior minister Horst Seehofer condemned the decision as 'absolutely irresponsible' and suggested that UEFA's position was motivated by money.
The crowd of 41,973 at Tuesday's match was the biggest in Britain since the pandemic began, but games in Budapest have welcomed up to 60,000 spectators into the stadium.
This comes as the more contagious Delta coronavirus variant, first found in India, is fuelling a significant increase in new cases in the UK.
