A wildlife conservationist had his wrist ripped open and his artery severed when an angry snake suddenly lashed out.
Kane Durrant, 32, shared the horrifying video of the attack and his wounds, which required emergency surgery and a night in hospital.
He was working at a job site in northern NSW in September when he came across a 2.7m coastal carpet python blocking traffic.
The professional snake catcher captured the snake and was showing off the reptile to the camera before its release when the reptile suddenly latched on to his wrist.
'F**k, oh no!' he screamed as the python dug its fangs into his flesh.

Mr Durrant shared photos of himself recovering in hospital, still wearing his blooded-soaked clothing while giving a thumbs up to the camera.
He also shared gruesome photos of the two inch-deep bites to his wrist, which required stitches.
'The bite was the worst of my life,' he posted on Facebook.
'It severed my radial artery and required emergency surgery to fix. It's been a long road back to normal use.'
