Popular Australian clothing store Cotton On has started selling sex toys - but the move hasn't left everyone satisfied.

While the chain has been on sale since the start of the year, the brand's recent post on social media picturing some of the products surprised - and divided - many of its shoppers.

Some praised the brand for promoting self-love and destigmatising sex toys, but others labelled the decision 'ridiculous', saying their young daughters frequently shop at the stores.

'Really does Cotton On need to sell these. My 14-year-old shops from you online, maybe not any more after seeing these,' one mother wrote.
