Online trolls have again launched vile attacks on the Prime Minister's daughters, just days out from the federal election.

The family has regularly been subjected to cruel online taunts, including one from comedian Magda Szubanski that Mr Morrison's wife Jenny said was the most distressing personal attack upon her since becoming Australia's first lady.

In the latest attack, one troll said he doesn't like to 'criticise appearances', then goes on to do exactly that.

He shared a picture of the Prime Minister with Jenny and daughters Abbey and Lily at the Liberal campaign launch on Sunday.

'I'm not one to criticize (sic) appearances, but why is it that @ScottMorrisonMP's women always dress like the Amish? (serious Q),' the troll wrote.

This is followed by another tweet - so awful, Daily Mail Australia has chosen not to publish it.

The tactic of using offensive personal attacks on children rather than addressing the government's policies, did not impress others on social media, though.

'Oh ffs still picking on the kids. So classy,' one person responded.

'What on earth is wrong with people,' said another.

Others said 'leave those kids alone' and 'leave the kids out of this'.

Another spoke for many by saying 'I don’t think anyone who behaves like this should be advising anyone else at all.'

The latest attack comes after Mrs Morrison revealed in February that the most distressing personal attack on her since her husband became Prime Minister was a tweet from Kath and Kim star Magda Szubanski.

The comedian took to Twitter last year to compare a picture of Mrs Morrison and the Prime Minister signing a condolence book for Prince Philip with the religious extremists who feature in the popular Margaret Atwood novel and TV series, The Handmaid's Tale.

Comedian Magda Szubanski retweeted a photo of Mrs Morrison watching her husband sign a condolence book for the late Prince Philip, captioning the image: 'I genuinely thought this was a photoshopped Handmaid's Tale meme. But no. It's 21st century Aussie life'

Margaret Atwood's 1985 classic is set in a totalitarian state called Gilead where single women are kept as sexual slaves for reproduction purposes, while married women are only taught how to sew and bow to the whim of their powerful husbands (pictured, the book has been turned into a smash-hit series that is available on Stan)

During an interview with 60 Minutes' Karl Stefanovic, Mrs Morrison said Szubanski had taken things 'too far'.

She said she had learned to deal with criticism since her husband became the nation's leader - but was caught off-guard by this particular tweet.

'I can take a joke, like I can take a joke,' she said. 'I've had to be independent and strong because of the life that I live
