Vice President Kamala Harris said the nation's highest court is now an 'activist court' now that they have overturned Roe v. Wade.

Such harsh words are unusual for a vice president as the Supreme Court fights to maintain public trust after their decision to overturn the landmark 1973 abortion case in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization in June.

Asked on NBC's Meet the Press how much 'confidence' she has in the Supreme Court, the vice president replied: 'I think that this is an activist court.' 

'We had an established right for almost half a century which is the right of women to make decisions about their own body as an extension of what we have decided to be the privacy rights to which all people are entitled. This court took that constitutional right away,' Harris continued. 

'That causes me great concern about the integrity of the court overall,' she said. 'This is the court that on once
