One person was fighting for their life and ten other injured after a speeding car ploughed into a group of bystanders at a car meet.
Four people were also seriously injured when the car, thought to be a red Ford Fiesta, slammed into the crowd on Saturday night.
The car, estimated to be travelling at up to 70mph, careered into the group who met on the Flixborough Industrial Estate, in Scunthorpe, leaving behind a trail of ‘blood and debris’.
While emergency services rushed to the scene, horrified onlookers were forced to ‘lift the car off a girl’ who was trapped under the wreckage.
A 17-year-old was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

The driver smashed into bystanders at the Scunthorpe Car Meet at the Flixborough Industrial Estate near Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire around 9.10pm Saturday
Last night, one witness, Ashley, 25, told of his shock when he heard ‘a massive bang’ and a man screaming that ‘he couldn’t feel his legs’ seconds after the car smashed into the crowd.
The delivery driver said: ‘I said to my friend when we got there “this is an accident waiting to happen, someone is going to get hurt or run over.
‘I heard a big massive bang, turned around and saw the Golf in front of the BMW. We went over, and saw the Fiesta over in the distance.
‘I saw debris all over the road, blood, people laying on the floor, screaming and shouting.
‘Everyone started scrambling, calling for emergency services.
‘It is just a horrific scene.
All victims, including the critically injured patient and four people who were seriously hurt, are receiving medical assistance
‘We were there not even 20 minutes and that happened. They [cars] were doing quick [race-style] launches. They got to at least 60, 70mph.
‘There were people flying up and down – it is ridiculous.’
