The brother of a top Comanchero bikie who was widely seen as collateral damage when he was shot dead outside a gym has been exposed as a police source.

Omar bled out at the scene and died - while his older brother miraculously survived several bullet wounds, including through his eye.
Omar has long been thought to have been accidentally caught up in the underworld hit, however, new details of his cooperation with detectives have now been revealed.

The document, which was on an appeal to Omar's sentences for drugs and firearms offences, said he had tipped off police to uncover guns and explosives.
