A snake catcher had a testing day at work after a 'feisty' carpet python bit him six times across his body as he removed it from the doorway of a home.
Josh Castle took on the reptile six months ago at a home in Morayfield in Brisbane's north, with the battle of wills going viral last week.
Footage of the capture showed the snake appearing 'alert' after Mr Castle found it lounging across a pair of outdoor shoes.
He then picked the snake up by the tail, before the python flipped around, darting up and down, nipping at the snake catcher's legs, hands, arms, face and chest.
'He's feisty,' Mr Castle said as he dodged the snake's lunges at him, while it clamped down and bit him through to the skin six times.
The snake expert tried to put the reptile into a small brown bag but the python kept going for his hand.
Mr Castle then resorted to using a large black net to secure the snake, before it finally unraveled into it.
