Obama-era Ethics chief Walter Shaub tore into President Biden's 'inexcusable neglect' in bringing home classified files and storing them in his garage at his Wilmington residence and in his think tank office.

'It's nothing like Trump's deliberate refusal to return classified records demanded by the National Archives, but Biden's own retention of classified records reflects an inexcusable neglect of the most basic security protocols,' Shaub, who served as the White House Ethics chief from 2013 to 2017, said.

Shaub also criticized the Biden team for not disclosing that documents had been found at Biden's home at the same time they confirmed documents were found at the Penn Biden Center office.

'The fact that the White House didn't mention that records were found in more than one location when first asked about them was a breach of trust with the public and a self-inflicted wound,' Shaub said.
