Tesco has pulled its own-brand grated cheddar cheese from supermarket shelves over fears it could contain 'small pieces of clear soft plastic'.

The multinational retailer issued a warning to customers and recalled its 500g Creamfields grated cheddar product with a best before date of March 23, 2023.

A product recall poster read: 'We're recalling one date code of Tesco Creamfields grated cheddar 500g. 

'This is because it may contain small pieces of clear, soft plastic which could make the product unsafe to
