Amanda Bynes wandered the streets of LA for DAYS trends now

Amanda Bynes was possibly living on the streets for 'several days' in the lead up to her walking through Los Angeles naked and eventually taken into psychiatric care.

TMZ is reporting that the 36-year-old's car was towed on March 15 in Long Beach, about 40 miles from her home and 25 miles from where she was spotted in downtown L.A.

From Long Beach, sources have revealed to the outlet that Bynes hitchhiked or took public transport to get around before she was spotted on March 18 appearing to be 'out of it' but still clothed. 

Its been reported that she got a ride to Beverly Hills from a stranger but then asked to return to Hollywood, according to the outlet.

The 'She's The Man' star was first brought to hospital early Sunday morning and is said to be 'making improvements' but will likely be committed at least another week before being discharged.

It's been a year since Bynes' conservatorship was terminated with sources telling TMZ that her parents 'don't plan to bring the conservatorship back.'

Bynes was seen having a night out in Hollywood on St Patrick's Day last Friday - less than two days before she was placed on a psychiatric hold. 

The troubled actress, 36, was hospitalized after she was seen walking near downtown Los Angeles early on Sunday morning without any clothes on - she was later placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold.

DailyMail.com exclusively revealed a video that shows Bynes wearing a black tee with a bone design, paired with joggers and sneakers as she walked with a friend on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Friday, March 17.

The actress appeared coherent while she chat with her friend on the night out. 

The footage was recorded less than two days before she would be found wandering naked and alone in the midst of a 'psychotic episode' and hours before she canceled a scheduled public appearance on Saturday.

The star was also filmed and uploaded to a fan's TikTok, the video captioned: 'Happy she's getting the help she needs. She was sweet, gave her some money and talked. Sometime ppl [sic] just need to talk to.'

In the clip, the fan was heard saying: 'I saw her walking and had to say what's up?' as Amanda is heard saying: 'What's up.' 

Bynes' former fiancé Paul Michael claims she had gone 'off her meds' before she was put on psychiatric hold.  

Paul, who has been in an on-off relationship with Amanda since they broke off their engagement last July before getting back together a month later, told Page Six: 'She got off her meds, and she's still off her meds... She's wild.'

Paul added he and Amanda are 'friends now' - after it was reported they had been living together in L.A.

Amanda previously accused Paul on her Instagram of not 'taking his medications,' relapsing with 'crack cocaine' and watching 'mom-and-son porn' before she 'kicked him out' of her house.

He added: '(Amanda) tried to kick me out, but I left to get my own place. I moved home and established boundaries.'

Paul also insisted Amanda 'lied' about her previous drug use and pornography accusations against him, claiming she 'embarrassed' him in order 'to keep the attention off her.'

He said: 'She acted to shame me away,' adding Amanda 'lied and cheated and had too many flings the entire time' they were together.

Bynes and Michael famously got engaged on Valentine's Day 2020, mere months after staying at the same sober living facility. 

On Sunday Bynes is said to have waved a car down, telling the driver she was 'coming down from a psychotic episode' before calling 911.

Bynes was taken to a police station where a mental health team placed her on a 5150 psychiatric hold.

A 5150 is a legal action from the CA Welfare and Institutions Code. It allows a qualified officer or clinician to confine someone against their will for 72 hours which can be extended. During this time, the person will be fully
