Police bodycam footage shows the distressing moment a 16-year-old girl is burnt to death following a horrifying car crash in Los Angeles last month.
Destiny Villanueva, 16, died in a car after the 14-year-old driver crashed while speeding away from police attempting a traffic stop, after noticing the vehicle's headlights were out just after midnight on February 20.
'It's rainy conditions, we're not going to go in pursuit,' one officer can be heard telling another over the radio in newly-released bodycam footage.
Shortly afterwards, surveillance footage from across the street reveals the moment the Toyota Camry hits a traffic pole at Balboa and Ventura Boulevard at high speed, then ignites.
The hero officers are seen racing to the teenagers' rescue. 'Can you get out?' one asks.
