A school principal is 'extremely disappointed' in a Baptist pastor who was too honest when he was asked by primary school students if the Easter bunny was real.
Pastor Jason Hoet was talking with Colonel Light Gardens Primary School's Year 4-6 students on Tuesday about Christian beliefs when he was asked a question he had not expected.
The cleric, who is the lead pastor at Unley Park Baptist Church in Adelaide, told the children the egg is a symbol of new life - but that the Easter bunny is not real.
'We were extremely disappointed to learn that information shared has impacted the joy of Easter for our students and families,' school principal Liz Pelling said in a statement issued to Daily Mail Australia.
