Christian Horner celebrated in style as his Red Bull team returned to winning ways with a resounding Red Bull one-two finish at the Japanese Grand Prix - as speculation continues over his future in the wake of his 'sex texts' scandal.

The Red Bull team principal was pictured being sprayed with champagne after world champion Max Verstappen and his team-mate Sergio Perez came first and second in Japan.

Horner, who is married to former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell, looked delighted as he posed for photos with the trophies with what appeared on the surface to be a united Red Bull team.

But as Red Bull got back to winning ways after Ferrari's victory in Australia last weekend, Horner continues to deal with the fallout from the sexting scandal.

Horner was cleared of any wrongdoing following an internal investigation in February after being accused of 'coercive behaviour' towards a female employee.

However, text messages largely of a sexual nature that were allegedly sent by Horner were then leaked to 149 senior F1 figures and members of the media just 24 hours after he was cleared, raising doubts over his position once again.

The 50-year-old has continued to maintain that he has done nothing wrong, insisting it is 'business as normal'.

MailOnline revealed on Thursday that Horner's former PA, Nicole Carling, is back in the Red Bull fold and is now organising his diary following the fallout that has seen Horner's accuser suspended from her job. Carling is not in Japan this weekend.

Halliwell, meanwhile, has continued to put on a united front with her husband. 

The couple were pictured holding hands and sharing a kiss at the opening race of the season in Bahrain, while Halliwell also joined Horner in Saudi Arabia the following week.
