Mother Jason Galleghan AirPods breaks down in court as alleged postcode gang ... trends now
The mother of a 16-year-old fatally bashed in brutal retribution for allegedly stealing AirPods burst into tears and stared down one of the adult ring-leaders after a court found the pair guilty of murder.
Kayla Dawson, 22, and Richard Sione, 34, were convicted on Monday of teenager Jason Galleghan's murder, which occurred inside Dawson's western Sydney Doonside home on August 6, 2021.
When the verdict was announced Jason's mother Rachel Galleghan began sobbing and fixed her glare on Sione as he was led back into custody.
Dawson, who was appearing via audiovisual link from a prison, only nodded briefly as the sentence was passed, the Daily Telegraph reported.

Sione led the assault on Jason, which was then taken up by five teenagers who referred to him as 'uncle' or 'dad'.
The assault lasted for more than half an hour, however only about seven minutes was recorded.
One recording captured a teen assailant saying: 'Oi, stop … look at him (Jason)'.
Jason died of injuries from two days later in hospital.
Dawson believed Jason had stolen her AirPods and lured the boy into the prepared retaliatory ambush from a western Sydney train station.
She then filmed and shared video of the savage beating.
Both Dawson and Sione pleaded not guilty to the killing.
