This is the heartwarming moment a pilot showed love really is in the air when he came out of his cockpit to propose to an unsuspecting air hostess.

Captain Konrad Hanc moved passengers and crew to tears when he introduced himself over the plane’s intercom system before going down on one knee and popping the question.

Footage taken onboard the Polish LOT Airlines flight to Krakow shows Captain Hanc saying to the passengers: ‘Today there is a very important person on board this plane.

‘A year and a half ago, at this job, I met the most wonderful person who completely changed my life.’

With tears in his eyes he then told the stunned stewardess named Paula: ‘You are most precious to me, you are my greatest dream come true.
