Girl, 17, suffers head injuries at 'Peace Movement' party

A teenager suffered horrific head injuries after allegedly being thrown down a flight of stairs and smashed over the head with a bottle at a party dedicated to peace.

Niva Garland, 17, was at a Peace Movement Secret Warehouse Party in Liverpool, Merseyside, last weekend when she was knocked down the stairs by men believed to be running from a fight.

The therapy student says she was then hit by a flying bottle, cutting open her head. Police are investigating.
