The Public Hotel on Chrystie Street in Manhattan's Lower East Side where guests have been accused of having sex in front of the windows
Guests at the trendy new Public hotel in Manhattan's Lower East Side appear to be taking its name too a tad too literally.
According to elderly neighbors, amorous couples are having sex with the blinds open and against the windows of rooms in the $200-a-night establishment.
Mixed and same sex couples have been flaunting their passionate encounters at all hours of the day and can sometimes even be heard, the disgruntled neighbors say.
The sleek glass-exterior hotel on Chrystie Street is looked on to by a public housing building on Stanton Street.
Its tenants are the ones who say they are being inadvertently exposed to indecency.
Among them is grandmother Leonor Fernandez who told The New York Post she now has to close her blinds whenever her grandchildren come to visit.
