The 34th annual Nez Rouge campaign was launched on Friday night, with more than 3,000 rides given across Quebec.
This year, 61 communities across the province are taking part in the operation, which runs until Dec. 31.
Last year, approximately 58,700 rides were given in Quebec.
Nez Rouge, held in partnership with the Société de l ‘assurance automobile du Québec (SAAQ) and the Desjardins Group, is still looking for volunteer drivers. Each year, some 40,000 volunteers take part, offering rides home to drivers who’ve overindulged.
As of Friday night, more than 2,600 people had volunteered. Volunteers can sign up online.Related
