President Donald does not believe that he is above the law, his spokeswoman said Thursday.

But the president does believe that he 'can hire and fire whoever he wants' and 'doesn't have to have a justification' to do so.

Sanders defended the president's firing of James Comey in her daily briefing after an assertion from Donald 's lawyer that the dismissal was tied to the former FBI director's refusal to rule the Oval Office occupant out as a target of the Russia probe.
