Despite Nigel’s character Dennis being dead, it would not be unusual for EastEnders to bring back a former character to the soap.
In new spoiler pictures, Stacey Fowler (played by Lacey Turner) and Ruby Allen (Louisa Lytton) can be seen to visit Dennis’ grave - but what to scriptwriters really have in mind surrounding the unusual graveside visit?
In filming pictures, the pair can be seen hugging one another as they make their way to the graveside.
Flowers were seen next to Dennis' headstone while in another filming shot, Stacey appears overcome with emotion.
We would have to come up with a storyline, but I loved it
It comes after actor Nigel told Loose Women that he would be open to reprise his character in upcoming scenes.
Stabbed to death on New Year’s Eve in 2005, viewers saw Dennis collapse and die in his wife and adoptive sister Sharon Mitchell’s (Letitia Dean) arms.
At the time, Sharon believed she was infertile, but found out she was pregnant with Dennis Rickman Jr.
This prompted Dennis’ last words to be “we did it” in reference to their unborn son, born six months after his death.
Ultimately, it was revealed that Dennis was killed by Danny Moon (Jake Maskall) who was later shot to death
