The third episode of Netflix’s The Royals documentary series from 2013 focuses on royal teens. Ingrid Seward, editor of Majesty Magazine, explained how the death of Harry’s mother Princess Diana had a profound effect on him and his older brother Prince William. Ms Seward explained: “They hated their mother’s celebrity live and they grew to really hate the photographers that were always surrounding her.”
Diana tragically passed away on August 31, 1997, in the Parisian Pont de l’Alma tunnel while her driver Henri Paul attempted to flee paparazzi.
Mr Paul and Diana’s companion Dodi Fayed also lost their lives.
Ms Seward praised the Princes who were 15 and 12 respectively when their mother died for the way they deal with the press now: “It’s quite to their credit they are able to be vaguely polite to the press now because they still loathe them.
“They still blame the press for their mother’s death, which they would do.”
