This evening MPs voted in favour of a motion tabled by Tory rebel Sir Oliver Letwin aimed with the goal of preventing Boris Johnson on taking the UK out of the EU without a deal. After the result, loud cheers can be heard from the opposition bench as they reflect on the closeness of the result. The Brexit Common’s vote: Can MPs take control of Commons business was won by the Yes at 328 with the Nos at 301.
Moments after the announcement of the result an unknown MP can be heard loudly shouting “not a great start Boris”.
Boris Johnson then stood to address the point of order despite the jeers and cheers at his expense.
He continued: “Let there be no doubt Mr Speaker about the consequences of this vote tonight.
“It means that Parliament is on the brink of wrecking any deal that we may be able to scrape in Brussels.

“Tomorrow's bill would hand control of the negotiations to the EU.
“That would mean more dither, delay and confusion.
“It would mean that the EU themselves would be able to decide how long to keep this country in the EU.
“Since I refuse to go along with that plan, we are going to have to make a choice.
