An awkward standoff between a Brexiteer and a Remainer resulted in the Leave supporter tearing up a leaflet calling for a second referendum. The Brexiteer insisted that it made him upset that Brexit was not being implemented after three years since the referendum result. The Remainer campaigner was asked by a BBC reporter on how she felt about controversial leader Jo Swinson after her first conference leader.
She said: “I am impressed with Jo Swinson.
“I think she is doing a fantastic job at the moment, she is making difficult decisions right now that need to be made.”
When asked whether cancelling Brexit would be the democratic answer to the Brexit impasse the campaigner replied: “If it came from a democratic mandate.”
The footage then cuts to the Remain campaigner handing out a People’s Vote leaflet to a gentleman in Remain majority area, Cheltenham.
