ITV’s daytime schedule will be subject to another little shake up today as more Rugby World Cup action will see the losing semi-finalists, New Zealand and Wales go head-to-head to take the bronze win. And, to viewers disappointment, the game will be replacing much loved daytime favourites, This Morning and Lorraine.

Good Morning Britain and Loose Women managed to avoid being scrapped this time around and will still be broadcast, but it’s bad news for viewers of morning favourites, This Morning with Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford and daytime queen, Lorraine.

The two shows have both been cancelled but are set to be back on air on Monday 4 November after the final tomorrow morning.

But this isn’t the first time there’s been massive disruption and broadcasting conflicts since the sports competition began.

With the tournament taking place in Japan this year, the time difference means matches are being shown in the morning in the UK.

ITV morning viewers may have expected the cancellations to end, as the World Cup final is on Saturday, but there is still another game to be played to determine who will be the winner of the losers.
