Kym Marsh has finally left the set of Coronation Street. The beloved Corrie favourite, who has been playing Michelle Connor since 2006, shared a snap from her last day at the Manchester studios on her Instagram coupled with a moving caption.

Pictured with several of her castmates at the iconic Rovers Return, Kym wrote a lengthy goodbye caption.

It read: “Over and out.....Michelle Connor has left the building...what an amazing 13/14 years I have had.

“Met some amazing friends, learnt so much and am so blessed to have been part of such an amazing show!!!

“Thanks to all the fans for being so loyal and supportive over my time at @coronationstreet and to all the fabulous cast and crew who are like my second family!! I love you all! Here’s to new beginnings!! Xxx.”

And it looks like former Hear’Say band member celebrated her final day with some delicious cakes.

She commented on a snap of gateaus on Twitter with: “Omg!!! X.”

Kym announced she was leaving the soap back in February after 13 years on the iconic ITV soap.

In a statement explaining her departure, she said it felt like “the right time".
