The Harry Potter movies concluded in 2011, but the story has continued with a two-part stage play. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child begins 19 years on from the Battle of Hogwarts, following Harry, Ron and Hermione in their middle age.
And now that Warner Bros own the rights to the play, surely a film adaptation is in the works?
Right now the studio is focused on its five Fantastic Beasts prequels, which won’t conclude until halfway through the 2020s.
But in around a decade’s time, the original cast of the Harry Potter movies will be a believable age for a Cursed Child movie.
Recently Draco Malfoy star Tom Felton was asked about the possibility of the cast returning.

Felton told : “How much you offering? I’m joking.
“I don’t think it will be reprised, to be honest with you.
“I think it was a wonderful eight chapters, I think that and everything that needed to be done was done.
“[Warner Bros will] take it further on in their own direction, but we’re all still immensely proud to be a part of it and I’m glad it’s still as popular as it once was.”
