Susanna Reid will turn 49 in less than a month and she has now spoken out about why some midlife women need to prove they’re still wild. The Good Morning Britain presenter said she wants to smash stereotypes, which led her to change her appearance recently, leaving her “nervous”.

It feels like a painful two minutes

The 48-year-old has opted for an upper ear piercing, which she showed off on Instagram last week.

“NEW COLUMN! Channelling my teen spirit - with a mid-life piercing. Link in bio,” she captioned the selfie in view of her 421,000 followers.

Sporting dark-rimmed glasses, the mother-of-three’s addition could just be seen next to a silver hoop.

Recalling the recent moment she had it done, Susanna wrote in the Daily Mail: “It feels like a painful two minutes — even though I’ve taken painkillers and I’m holding my friend Mel’s hand tightly for support.
