Meghan and Trevor met on a night out in West Hollywood in 2004 and started dating, later marrying in 2011. However, the pair separated and got a divorce citing irreconcilable differences in 2013, three years before Meghan met Harry. According to the 2018 biography ‘Meghan: A Hollywood Princess’, Meghan was initially attracted to Trevor’s “passion, drive and ambition”.
However, royal biographer Andrew Morton added: “Trevor was a typical New Yorker – brash, blunt, no bull and ballsy.
“At times, though, he was maybe a little too gauche for a sophisticated girl who liked classy rather than crass.”
In this way, Prince Harry is probably a better fit for Meghan – as a member of the Royal Family, he has been taught from a young age to have excellent manners and obey strict protocol.
On the other hand, Harry and Meghan have had entirely different backgrounds and life experience.

Harry grew up in palaces and in the public eye, whereas Meghan grew up in a normal family in California.
Meghan and Trevor both experienced trying to climb the greasy pole of the entertainment industry, while Harry was in the army and undertook royal duties.
That said, both Harry and Meghan experienced family break-ups after their parents got divorced.
What Harry and Trevor definitely have in common, however, is their passion – Trevor for film-making and Harry for his charity work.
