Sally (played by Sally Dynevor) has had a turbulent few months on Coronation Street after discovering her husband Tim Metcalfe was a bigamist. Despite humiliating her in front of all their friends and neighbours, the taxi firm owner won her back in the ITV soap’s 10,000th episode. However, the former mayor will find herself at the centre of another relationship dilemma in upcoming scenes, but could it cost her gravely as she fails to stand by one of her loved ones?
Following trouble with her son Seb Franklin (Harry Visinoni) and a brief fling with Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne), Abi Franklin (Sally Carman) has found a dear friend in Sally.
Not only has the soap stalwart taken in the troubled mother, but she has been on hand to offer the mechanic advice and coached her through her exams.
Things were looking up for the wayward character as she started dating Ray Crosby (Mark Frost), but will be devastated in scenes airing this week when she discovers he has made inappropriate advances to many of his female employees.
As the repercussions of her revenge plot unravel in upcoming episodes, she will look to her friend for help, but will be gravely disappointed when the former mayor betrays her.

After exposing Ray later this week, Abi’s fury and rage leads her to make a rash decision as she ends up setting fire to his beloved car.
Acting on impulse, the mechanic is left shaken when Ray calls at the garage to tell his former lover he has reported her actions to the police.
Love interest Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) is on hand to comfort her and offer advice, telling his employee she needs to get an alibi.
Knowing Sally will help her, the troubled mother asks her friend to back up her story, only for the factory worker to tell her she won’t.
