RIVERDALE continually leaves fans guessing about what is going to happen next. But has the first four seasons been all part of the Baxters Brothers' book?

The big mystery in Riverdale season four is Jughead Jones (played by Cole Sprouse) actually dead, after girlfriend Betty Cooper (Lili Reinhart) was found standing over his body in the woods with a bloodied rock in her hands. Thankfully, it doesn’t seem like it was Betty after all who “killed” Jughead so there are still plenty of questions as to what happened in the and The CW series. However, some fans are starting to believe everything since season one has been part of the resident writers’ imagination.

Fans of the teen drama knew from the get-go that when Jughead started attending Stonewall Prep, there would be trouble ahead.

With his ongoing rivalry with Bret Weston Wallis (Sean Depner) and the Quill and Skull Society, it was clear it was not going to end well and from the latest episode How to Get Away with Murder, it seems they are trying to frame Betty, Archie Andrews (KJ Apa) and Veronica Lodge (Camila Mendes) for their friends’ murder.

With the help of Betty’s brother Charles (Wyatt Nash) who thankfully knows the art of hypnotism, the gang found out Donna (Sarah Desjardins) had used Devil’s Breathe on Betty to ensure she loses her short-term memory and have Jughead’s murder pinned on her.

Despite Riverdale trying to convince fans Jughead is actually dead, most viewers believe he is still alive and it’s just about working out how and why this is all happening.

One theory is that the events of the past four seasons, including Jason’s (Trevor Stines) murder, the Black Hood and the Gargoyle King never happened.

Everything that has happened is just stories in Jughead’s Baxter Brothers book and him and his friends are the central characters.
