Coronation Street star Kym Marsh, 43, has spoken out about how she wants a "challenge" for her next acting stint and is looking to play a "completely different" character after Coronation Street's Michelle Connor. The soap star said her goodbyes to the ITV soap in February last year.

Kym, who announced her decision to leave Coronation Street in February 2019, has now revealed what sort of role she would consider for her next acting gig.
The Michelle Connor actress revealed she wants a character she can "work hard" for.
Speaking to The Mirror, Kym discussed: "I’d love to play something completely different, either a police role or a psychopath, and shave my head for a role.
"I would definitely do that," the ITV favourite continued.

Kym went on to confess: “It would be something I really need to work hard for.
"A challenge is what I’m after."
The former singer who starred as Michelle Connor for 14 years on Coronation Street, has previously revealed how the bosses have given her the chance to return if she wanted to.
The star admitted on her Instagram page: "I want to give myself time to do other things.
