After Girls Aloud star Sarah Harding, 38, opened up about her heartbreaking cancer diagnosis on social media last month, Loose Women favourite Carol McGiffin, 60, has now discussed what she similarly went through when she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2014. The Celebrity Big Brother star opened up about her battle, after she also lost her sister Tracy to the disease three years ago.
It's a double blow for her.
Her sibling died at the age of 53, while Carol got her five-year discharge at the end of last year.
Sarah spoke out about her breast cancer diagnosis for the first time online in a Twitter post last month.
In a new interview, Carol was asked how she thought Sarah was feeling at the moment, to which she divulged: "It's a very personal thing, everybody deals with it in their own way but it's extremely difficult when you see a diagnosis like that especially because she's only 38."
She went on to say how it was "sad" Sarah had to announce what she was going through reportedly after being spotted in hospital.

"I was 54, but 38 is so young and hers has already spread so it's a double blow for her," she added.
"It's terrible news, I just hope to God that she's alright."
Carol continued to tell this week's issue of OK! Magazine: "Apparently she was spotted in the hospital and she felt pressure to put it out there which is sad."
The radio broadcaster then said she can't advise on this personal battle.
