#APlaceintheSun's Jonnie Irwin slams buyers as house ...

Jonnie Irwin was tasked with finding couple Joanna and Scott their dream holiday home on A Place in the Sun. The Channel 4 expert was given a long list of requirements and warned the couple they would have to compromise to find a property within their budget. However, when the pair struggled to warm to one property on the search, Jonnie accused the pair of “wasting [his time”.

Joanna and Scott met 18 years ago in the south of Spain while on different golfing holidays.

The pair had their hearts set on buying a holiday home in La Marina Alta on the Northern Costa Blanca.

They wanted to be able to use the property straight away whilst also keeping in mind the possibility of retiring to the villa permanently.

With a maximum budget of £230,000, their list of must-haves included an outdoor kitchen, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a swimming pool and close to amenities.

Jonnie didn’t get off to a great start with his first offering but the couple was impressed with the four-bed villa he took them to next.

However, the villa was 20 minutes inland and Jonnie wanted to show them a property that was closer to the location they were looking for.

Walking up to the third offering, Jonnie remarked: “I’ve been looking forward to showing you this ever since it came on the market two days ago.”

“Impressive,” Scott commented as the expert added: “The plot size is twice as big as the last place I showed you.”
